Custom Washroom Renovation

Project Overview

This Toronto washroom renovation is a straightforward example of what we do best: take a functional but dated space and transform it with precise tile work, quality materials, and clean execution. The project scope covered full demolition of the existing finishes, subfloor and wall preparation, and a complete custom tile installation from floor to ceiling.

Tile Selection and Layout

Material selection and layout planning are decisions we work through with every client before a single tile is set. The tile format, grout joint width, and pattern direction all affect how the finished room feels. For this washroom we focused on a clean, minimal aesthetic with a format and layout that visually enlarges the space. Grout was applied and sealed to resist staining and moisture penetration for the long term.

Substrate and Waterproofing

Every tile installation we do starts with the substrate. Tile is only as good as what it's bonded to, and a poor substrate is the leading cause of cracked grout, loose tiles, and moisture damage behind walls. We addressed the subfloor and wall assemblies to ensure a flat, stable, moisture-resistant base before any tile went down. Our Wedi Pro Certified waterproofing system was applied in the wet areas to provide full protection behind the finished surface. Fixtures and Final Finish

With the tile work complete, fixtures were installed and all transitions, edges, and trim pieces were finished to a clean standard. The final inspection confirms that every surface is properly sealed, every fixture is correctly set, and the room is ready for daily use.
