Chris brought something unusual to the renovation industry: the discipline and precision he developed as a veterinarian in Europe. When he came to Canada and transitioned to construction, he applied that same standard to every project he touched. Over 25 years, that standard became a reputation.
Pilkowski Custom Renovations was built on referrals. Chris did not advertise for years he did not need to. Clients came back for their third and fourth projects, and they brought their neighbours. Most of our work still comes that way. That is the clearest measure of whether a contractor is doing the job right.
Today Chris leads a small, experienced team tile specialists, plumbers, electricians, and finishers who share the same standard. He is involved in every project from the first site visit to the final walkthrough. When you hire Pilkowski Custom Renovations, you are hiring the person whose name is on the company.

We are not a large company with dozens of crews running simultaneously. We are a focused team that takes on a manageable number of projects at a time and finishes them properly. That is the only way to maintain the standard our clients expect.
From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, Chris is the consistent presence. You are not handed off to a project manager you have never met. You deal with the person who built the company.
Full line-by-line scope before work starts. No verbal agreements. No vague estimates. You know exactly what is included and what the project will cost before we book a start date.
Substrate preparation, waterproofing, structural work these steps do not appear in the finished photos, but they determine how long everything holds up. We do not skip them to save time or reduce cost.
